FEBRUARY 2, 2020- BRABEC ANNOUNCES ENDORSEMENT FROM NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI -- Felicia Brabec, candidate for State Representative in Michigan’s 55th District, announced her endorsement from the National Association of Social Workers-Michigan Chapter.
Brabec, a County Commissioner from Washtenaw’s 4th District and practicing psychologist, would be the only mental health practitioner serving in our State House in Lansing if elected in 2020. Brabec has a Masters in Clinical Social Work and said that training influences her every day as a policymaker and, or course as a psychologist.
“I am so proud to receive the endorsement of the National Association of Social Workers. Working as a high school social worker shaped who I am today and how I think about solving problems we face here in Michigan,” said Brabec. “My social work background informed my work on our Racial Equity policy here in Michigan and of course our overhaul of our Washtenaw County Mental Health.”

That total comes from over 500 individual contributors.
